The anticipated schedule for the month of May is below, however it is subject to change due to weather or staffing. The reservation scheduling page will be updated as necessary.

2021 Pool Operations & Rules
Thank you to everyone who responded so promptly to our pool divisions poll. With more than half the membership responding, 75% are in favor of allowing a small number of households to share a larger section of the pool. Taking this into account, and in combination with the current MA Guidelines for Pools, we have modified our pool operations plan for 2021. You will notice it is very similar to last year, with seating unchanged, continuing the advance reservations, and limited capacity/social distancing. The most noteworthy changes for 2021 are:
Pool areas formerly known as Family C, D, E (main section of pool) have been converted into two areas: Shallow End 3-5 ft & Deep End 5-9 ft. To start, three households will be allowed to share the Shallow Area and three households may share the Deep Area. The Lap lanes and Kiddie areas remain unchanged for now (one household per area). These changes are intentionally gradual. If it works well we may consider further modifications. If proper distance is too difficult to maintain in a more open swim concept we may revert back to last year's C, D, E single household areas.
Morning Lap swim times are unchanged, however the first hour hour will no longer be reserved for seniors & high risk only. All members are welcome to book during all operating hours.
Chairs will no longer be cleaned between each use. Staff will clean chairs and other high touch surfaces twice each day. Wipes will be available upon request at the check-in desk for any member who wishes to clean chairs prior to use.
Swim Team and Group Swim Lessons will resume in a modified small group format.
Although the CDC issued new mask guidance, in Massachusetts we all must continue to follow Governor Baker’s mask Order. Masks must be worn by everyone, even if vaccinated, in public indoor places and outdoors when social distancing cannot be maintained. Consistent with this, everyone (age 2+) will still need to wear a mask at Sun Valley when entering & exiting pool and tennis courts, while walking to/from restroom, inside the bathroom or any other indoor structure, and anytime 6 ft distance cannot be maintained. Masks are optional while seated in designated seating area or at the picnic tables, as long as 6 ft distance can be maintained from non-household members. Masks should not be worn while swimming or wading, or by children under age 2. Thank you for your cooperation.

Keeping Each Other Safe
Stay home if sick or in quarantine
Sanitize hands upon entry and wash hands/sanitize frequently
Wear your mask when entering/exiting and when going to the restroom
Maintain 6 feet separation at all times, including in the pool

2021 Swim Programs
We are in the process of assigning groups for swim team and swim lessons and are working to finalize and share assignments in the next 10 days. At this time we have paused new registrations due to high demand. Once the groups are finalized we may announce limited openings if space allows. Swim Team registrants - don't forget to update us re: your Wednesday afternoon availability (see swim team participant email sent separately).
