Membership Information

Thank you for your interest in Sun Valley Swim & Tennis Club. We are a members-only facility with a wait list for membership. For those joining the wait list in 2022 we anticipate the wait will be about 4-5 years.* To honor our roots as a neighborhood pool, we offer an expedited process (~2 years) for families residing in the neighborhood. Neighborhood families must be on the list by November 1 to be eligible for an invitation the following season. Additionally, deeded properties that are part of the Sun Valley Association may join right away (no wait) and have separate membership options and fees. Contact us to inquire about your neighborhood or Sun Valley Association status.

*Note: Due to continuing pandemic conditions we had to limit capacity in 2021. We are also seeing high retention rates among current members. These factors have reduced the number of new families we can invite and have caused us to move through our wait list slower than predicted. We are very sorry for the disappointment, but this is a situation out of our control. We are committed to operating safely following guidance from the state, board of health, and CDC. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these tricky times.

We remain committed to fairness and offering any available spots to wait list families in the order of our list.

We invite you to join our wait list. $100 non-refundable wait list application deposit applies.

Questions regarding membership and the wait list may be directed to our Membership Chair.

Club Information

note: the information below is from our pre-COVID operations. We modified our operations significantly in 2020 and were able to restore many of our programs in a smaller format in 2021. We are hopeful to return to our full array of programming for 2022, however it will depend on pandemic and public health conditions.  We remain committed to providing a safe place for members to enjoy our pool and tennis offerings while following all CDC, local board of health, and state guidelines to keep our community safe and healthy. We are hopeful for the future and that we will be able to enjoy a full array of programming and social events in 2022 and beyond.

Sun Valley Swim and Tennis Association is a seasonal facility with three outdoor tennis courts, a basketball court, tennis wall for practice and an outdoor pool with 25-yard lap lanes. Tennis is open weather permitting, typically April through November. The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is a shallow section of the pool, which starts at two feet deep for younger children. A large grass area surrounds the pool and includes several large trees and umbrellas, providing ample shady areas for sitting. There is also an area for barbecues and picnics.

Swim membership includes a six-week session of group swim lessons for children ages 4 and up, beginning at the end of June. Lessons are taught by WSI certified lifeguards and we follow the American Red Cross Swim Program. We offer both morning and afternoon lessons and the pool remains open during the lessons. Private swim lessons are available for an additional fee.

Swim membership also includes swim team for ages 5-16. Swim team practice is held in the morning before the pool opens and swim meets are on Wednesday afternoons.

Tennis membership includes unlimited use of the tennis courts from mid-April through the end of October or November (weather permitting). There are open groups that play regularly on weekend mornings. Cardio Tennis, Round Robins, Club Tournaments and Inter-Club Matches are also offered (fees may apply). Group tennis lessons are offered to adults and children by a professional tennis instructor for a small fee for six weeks, starting at the end of June. Private lessons are also available to suit your schedule.

Social events include a Welcome Brunch, 4th of July and Labor Day game days, Kids Night, Teen Night and Adult Night at the pool. The brunch and game day activities are included in the membership dues. Registration fees apply for kids, teen and adult nights to cover the cost of dinner.

The pool is located at 14 Fairlawn Lane in Lexington.
