ANNOUNCEMENTS
Please be respectful and mindful that the pool closes at 8pm. If you plan on showering before leaving, please do so before 8pm.
Continue to be vigilant about throwing trash away. We want to keep Sun Valley as clean as possible, so please make sure trash makes it into the trash bins!
A Swim Test is required for anyone ages 16 and under. Please make sure children are wearing their wristband in the pool. An excerpt from the pool rules regarding swim tests is included below.
Please remind children not to chew on the pool noodles!
We have plenty of space in the Adult Swim Clinic - sign up!
The French Open was rescheduled (yet again) due to rain. The new date is Sat. Aug 2 and we have re-opened registration.

SNACK BAR HOURS
June 23 - August 31
Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri: 10 am - 6 pm
Wed, Sat, Sun: 12 pm - 6 pm

Wednesday Special - July 2, 16 & 23 4:30 - 6:30 pm burgers & hot dogs on the grill!
The snack bar will be offering BURGERS & HOT DOGS cooked on the grill this Wednesday from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. Black bean burgers will also be available during this time. Order at the snack bar and pick-up at the grill. This will be a great/easy dinner option following the home swim meets. Enjoy!
Snack Bar Hours are subject to change based on weather / pool visitors (i.e. snack bar may close when weather is poor or there are not many people at the pool).
SWIM TEST INFORMATION
For children under 16 years of age, use of different areas of the pool is allowed in accordance with capability assessment by the Lifeguard staff.
Testing is to be completed each year.
Those who have passed a test are allowed to swim in the appropriate areas. The tests are as follows:
4 foot section only - white band: 1 length front crawl
5 foot section - yellow band: 2 lengths front crawl
Entire Pool - red band: 3 lengths – 2 front crawl and 1 breast stroke or front crawl
A wristband will be given to each swimmer who has passed a test.
Swimmers must wear the wristband while in the pool. A swimmer without a wristband will be asked to leave the pool or take the test if prior test has not been documented. Replacement badges will be available for $2.00.
KIDDIE POOL
The shallow “L” of the pool is primarily for those children who have not passed any swim tests for the main pool. Those who have passed the 5 or 9 foot tests are not allowed in the shallow L unless baby-sitting or with special permission from the lifeguard on duty to play with a non-swimming sibling or friend.
Group Swim Lessons and Tennis Programs (lessons, clinics, cardio tennis) are under way. If you have forgotten your registration details you can review the list here. Be sure to look at the correct tab for SWIM or TENNIS.
Swim Lessons - meet your instructor near the pool. Googles are recommended. Swim lessons are rain or shine (pool will be cleared for 20 minutes if thunder/lightening is observed).
Tennis - proper footwear (non-marking sneakers), shorts, and shirts are required. Please do not wear wet bathing suits on the court. Please bring a tennis racket and water bottle. Meet your instructor at the tennis courts. Tennis is cancelled if it's raining or the courts are too wet for safe play. If there are rain-outs we will offer as many make-ups as possible Aug 5-8.
